These API Terms apply to your use of the Humanizer API, its dashboard and documentation (together, the “API”), operated by Humanizer Tool. They add to the general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If they conflict, these API Terms win for the API.

By creating an API key or calling the API you accept these terms on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent.

You may use the API to build products and workflows for yourself and your customers. You must not use it to:

• send spam, run phishing or fraud campaigns, or generate deceptive reviews, fake engagement or astroturfing;
• plagiarise, or help others submit work in breach of academic-integrity rules they are bound by;
• process content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or harasses, threatens or exploits anyone;
• probe, overload or disrupt the API, bypass rate limits or quotas, or share one paid plan across unrelated customers through multiple accounts;
• resell raw API access as a standalone humanizer or detector API without our written consent.

You are responsible for the content you send and for how you and your users use the output.

API keys are secrets that identify your account. Keep them on your servers, never embed them in client-side code or public repositories, and don't share them outside your organization. You are responsible for all activity under your keys.

If you think a key has been exposed, revoke it in the dashboard immediately and create a new one. We may revoke keys that we see exposed publicly or used abusively.

Each plan includes a monthly word allowance, a maximum text size per request and a per-key rate limit, as published on the pricing page. Requests over these limits are refused with an error and are not charged. We may adjust limits to protect the service, and will give reasonable notice of permanent changes to paid plans.

Request text is processed, not stored. The text you send is used only to produce the response and is not saved to our databases or used to train models.

We keep request metadata only — timestamp, endpoint, key id, word counts, status, latency and request id — to meter usage, show your logs and keep the service secure. You can delete your account and its API data from the dashboard settings at any time.

You confirm you have the rights and any consents needed to send the content you submit. Don't send special categories of personal data unless you have a lawful basis to do so.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment provider and renew automatically until cancelled. Word allowances reset at the start of each billing period; unused words don't roll over. The free trial is a one-time allowance per account.

You can cancel at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period and is not refunded pro rata except where the law requires. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal. Taxes are added where applicable.

We work to keep the API fast and available but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Version /v1 only receives backwards-compatible changes; breaking changes ship under a new version with advance notice in the docs changelog.

You can stop using the API and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, with notice where practical, if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or use the API in a way that puts the service or other users at risk.

Output is generated automatically and may contain errors; AI-detection scores are estimates, not proof. The API is provided “as is”. To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the API is limited to the fees you paid us for the API in the three months before the claim.
